Frank McDonagh(Ballinrobe) and Noel Walsh(Castlebar) were the winners of the New Year Doubles Tournament for the Mick Jennings Memorial Cup which was played in An Sportlann on Sunday 5th January. Twenty local racquetball players competed in the tournament. The runners-up were David Cunningham and Michael Biggins. The consolation Red Dvision was won by Tony Reilly and Martin Lawless while Mick Gavin and Paul Cuffe won the consolation White Division.
The tournament was generously sponsored by Mayo Crystal.

Finals of the Autumn Competition take place on Friday 20th December

All matches must be played by Wednesday 11th December. Finals will be held between 11th and the 20th December.
The club`s annual church gate collection will be held on Satuday 24th (7pm) & Sunday 25th August (8.30am, 10.30am & 12 noon).
Help is required from club members to man collections points on these dates.
Wedding bells will ring out in Castlebar tomorrow, 3rd August when one of our leading players Niamh O`Neill ties the knot . Niamh is a longtime member of our club and also coaches our junior racquetball athletes.

Beth Mitten won the Womens C Singles title at the All Ireland Championships played in Kingscourt. She defeated Avril Phelan from Galmoy in Co Kilkenny in the final.
Katie Kenny won silver in the Womens Open Singles. She was defeated by Aisling Hickey from Tipperary in the final. This was Katie`s first ever Womens Open Singles Final. Majella Haverty was defeated in the semi final of the same event, also by Hickey.
